A woman with the strange name of Qirā al-Lawn (קרא אללון), the widow of the late Marwān, appoints Shelomob. David b. Shimʿon to claim from Ṣemaḥb. […] The scribe uses ה and א interchangeably at the ends of words, so the first part of her name may be Qurra (solace), as in the set phrase "qurrat al-ʿayn"; the "lawn" (color) part remains mysterious. Location: Fustat. Dating: 1010 CE. Shelomob. Avraham b. Malkī (Mulkī?) sells nine parts out of eighteen of a house in the Qaṣr Edom (Qaṣr al-Rūm), which he had inherited from his wife Salma bt. Moshe b. Ṣemaḥ ha-Kohen to Yaḥyā the banker. The house borders on three others belonging to women and one man, and on one side to the house of Malīḥ, a Christian glassmaker.

Semah, an agent in a business venture in pharmaceutical plants, olive oil and gallnuts, amounting to the considerable sum of 90-91 dinars, who asks for witnesses on a Sabbath, because of the urgency of the matter. The witnesses accompany him to the house of a dying man, Abu al-Ma'ali al-Dhahabi Shelomob. Yakhin, with whom he had a loan regarding some commodity Abu al-Ma'ali confirms that the sum mentioned was indeed all due to Sedaqa and declares that he is his trusted agent.

Dating: Second half of the 16th century. Ṣemaḥ Alanj (? אלנג׳) sells Shemuel Cordoba 19 pounds of a particular kind of coral (מרגאל גשים קצף) for 17 peraḥim and 2 coronas. […] There is an addendum written in between the lines at 180 degrees, mentioning the wife of Makhlūf. Ṣemaḥ Alanj is also mentioned in T-S AS 145.87, a deed of release from the year 5329 AM (1568/69 CE).
