India Book III, 46: Letter from Moshe b. Yosef Ibn Yijū to his brother Peraḥya b. […]
He congratulates Peraḥya, apparently on his marriage, including elaborate Hebrew rhymed prose and biblical blessings in the first 23 lines of the letter. The Judeo-Arabic section provides the news that Moshe has set sail, collected 17 dinars, sent letters via Avraham Ibn al-Qurayẓ and Avraham al-Mahdawī. When Moshe had sent his previous letters from Tyre, he was terribly ill, and people had despaired of his recovery; but on the fifth day, God acted for the sake of His name, and Moshe was cured (see 2 Kings 20:5, "on the third day I will cure you").
