Labrāṭ continues with business affairs. There is an elaborate response to what Yehuda said about the pain Labrāṭ caused him by rebuking him about a business decision taken by Yehuda. Labrāṭ only wrote anything because it concerned somebody else's merchandise. […] If Yehuda was agitated by Labrāṭ's rebuke, Labrāṭ is now agitated by Yehuda's response.

It seems that no names are preserved; the scribe uses "fulān" instead of names, but the other elements of the story are specific enough that these must be drafts of specific documents rather than generic formularies. The right side of recto mentions messengers including from the sultan; a group of "strangers" (ghurabāʾ); the synagogue; seeking permission from an "elder" regarding this matter but receiving no response (wa-anfadhū rasūl qāṣid min jihat rasūl al-sulṭān wa-min jihat al-ghurabāʾ yastaʾdhinū al-shaykh fī dhālika fa-lam yarudd lanā jawāb); and a speaker who requests to hear testimony from a group of other people. […] Verso begins a new legal document, probably related to the ones on recto. Refers to "the elder"; a dispute; possibly someone who apostasized (alladhī afshaʿa), and "the rayyis."

Begging letter, probably, in elegant script informing the addressee that his brother Abū l-Baqā al-Tājir used to give charity to the writer and help his family with the capitation tax, but he has now died without a will. The remainder of the letter is missing the ends of the lines; it involves the late Abū l-Baqā's daughters and niece. ASE.

Interesting in part because it includes geographical and medical information -- it expounds the meaning of dreams about being bled in certain body parts, or going to the bath, or being in various lands. If a person dreams they are in the West (diyār al-gharb), they will go on a journey and return. […] If in Upper Egypt (al-ṣaʿīd): they will be swindled and/or upset by something. If in the lands of the Blacks (diyār al-ḥubūsh wa-l-zunūj wa-l-sūdān): they will fall into terrible difficulties but ultimately will be saved. […] If in Jerusalem or Hebron: God will elevate them and make them rule over many lands.

Written in a distinctive large hand with loops on the ends of the lameds. […] The name אלואח אלגואני does not seem to be attested elsewhere. It may be the equivalent of al-Wāḥ al-Dākhila. Medieval Arabic geographical works refer to inner (dākhila) and outer (khārija) districts of the oasis region of western Egypt; the inner district included not only present-day al-Dākhila but also al-Farāfra and al-Baḥriyya (see De Troia, "The Oases of Egypt's Western Desert from Byzantine to Islamic Rule," Journal of Late Antiquity 15.1 (277–303)).
