Recto (secondary use): Late letter in Hebrew to R. Shelomo ha-Sofer from "your wife Dona Soro (=Sara?) […] They are dismayed at Shelomo's lack of response to their numerous letters urging him to return. They ask him to approach R. Shelomo ha-Rofe (David suggests this is the same Shelomo ha-Rofe who had access to the Nagid, mentioned in T-S G1.17, lines 15–16) and obtain an exemption from the tax.

Letter from a woman to a certain Yosef written in the hand of Shelomo ha-Melammed b. Eliya. The woman calles herself "his mother" but it is possible that she was not his biological mother and this is an attempt by her to show her closeness to him. […] To show how serious she is, Shelomo ha-Melammed wrote a legal testimony on the back in which he testifies that this woman will pay Yosef's capitation tax (apperently she will pay the Shami rate in Egypt) on the conditions that he will come to Egypt. Another interesting point in the letter is that the woman mentions that Izz al-Din came to Egypt "Because the sultan called al-Kamil sent him" - a clear reference to the Ayyubid Sultan al-Kamil (1218-1238) giving us a dating for the letter. Finally, Shelomo ha-Melammed added a personal message to Yosef at the end of the letter: He asks him to send greetings to Shelomo's cousin (the son of Shelomo's mother's brother) Abu al-Faraj and his two sons Ma'ani abd Abu Majd.

The full names of the bride and groom appear on f. 5r: Raḥel bt. Yiṣḥaq De Costa and Shelomob. Yiṣḥaq Ashbīb. The total valuation of the kettuba is quite high, at 150,000 medin. One of the conditions for the marriage is that Raḥel help raise the children Shelomo had with a "different wife." The standard monogamy clause follows this condition in l. 46 (f. 5r) of the ketubba, implying that the children were from a previous marriage/divorce or that Shelomo was a widower.

Letter from Abū ʿAlī, in Baghdād, to his cousin (ibn ʿamma) Tamīm b. Mūsā, in Fustat. Sent to Abū Manṣūr al-Nushādirī who is to deliver it to the addressee. […] The writer recommends for support a visitor who is about to arrive in Fustat, Shelomo from Sijilmasa, presumably the bearer of the letter. The writer mentions his own visits to saints’ and prophets’ graves in Iraq, including that of Yeḥezqel, and his attendance at the majlis of Shemuʾel b. ʿEli gaʾon, where the addressee is spoken of highly.

Letter from Daniel b. Saʿadya ha-Bavli. Dated: Adar [1]525 Seleucid = February/March 1214 CE. […] The letter concerns a stranded Nasi, perhaps Yoshiyyahu b. Yishay. Greetings are sent to various people, including Ḥananel, his brother Shelomo (i.e. the sons of Shemuel) and their sons, Avraham, Yosef and his son Yiṣḥaq, Shemarya, David, Yeḥezqel, Yeḥiʾel and his son.
Date: 6 Kislev 1542 Seleucid = 13 November 1230 CE, under the authority of the Nagid Avraham Maimonides. The signatures of Shelomob. Eliyyahu the judge (ha-dayyan) and Avraham al-Maḥallī appear. This is a partnership agreement between Abū l-Bayān b. Mūsā al-Levi and [... b.] Abū l-ʿAbb[ās] al-Ṣabbāgh.
The two pages are each headed "faṣl," like other documents from the dossier of the Mosul Nasi Shelomob. Yishay (and this document may be in the same hand). […] On verso there is the beginning of a court record, mentioning Shelomo ha-Talmid ha-Mevin, with pen trials in Hebrew script and jottings of accounts in Arabic script (mentioning two commodities and their weights; one of them is ṭabāshīr/bamboo chalk).
The hand is almost certainly that of ʿImmanuel b. Yeḥiel. Another interesting feature is that the ketubba is not signed and then someone attached a piece of parchment with two signatures: Elʿazar b. Shelomo ha-Levi and Avraham b. Seʿadya.

Dated: 4757 AM (996–97 CE). Ghulayb ha-Levi b. Shelomo, known as Salmān al-Tabīb, receives a loan from his brother Yiṣḥaq b. Salāma al-Ṭabīb (Goitein: Salāma ha-Levi b. Salman [!]), for which he mortgages his inheritance from their father, a quarter of the courtyard in the Roman fortress of Fusṭāṭ, in the alley of the Jerusalmites' synagogue.
Letter from (perhaps) Shelomob. Moshe Lanyado to Shemuel Lanyado. Dated Shevat 5485 AM, which is 1725 CE. […] On the middle fold, the name Shelomob. Moshe Lanyado appears; this is in a different hand from the letter.
The document continues onto verso. Signed by Shelomob. Nissim and (the cantor Abū Sahl) Levi b. […] Same scribe as ENA NS 76.435.1 + ENA NS 76.435.3 and other adjacent fragments: Yosef b. Shemuel b. Seʿadya ha-Levi. The content of this document, including the date and the witness signatures, is nearly identical to Bodl. MS heb. a 2/9 (so we can identify the testator as the silkweaver (al-qazzāz) Abū l-Faḍl b. Barakāt Ibn al-Maqdisī), written by the same scribe but more carefully, probably a little bit later.
The first document is signed by Shelomob. Fashshāṭ and Yiftaḥ b. Ṭoviyya ha-Kohen. The second document is signed by the same two men with the addition of Saʿadya b. Avraham. The second document concerns Yaḥyā b. Suwayd, his wife, and his father-in-law (perhaps [...] b. Moshe b. Ṭarsūn). It seems that the father-in-law has accused Yaḥyā of making off with the deed to the house.

Yaaqov, a known scribe of several other extant manuscripts (also known from PGPID 3024, a contract where he commits to produce a biblical manuscript to an egyptian notable). […] The original person to commision this manuscript, according to the colophon, was Mevorakh b. Yosef b. Netan'el "known as Ben Yazdad", known from other documents from early 11th century Egypt (i.e. […] And additional note, more than a century later, documents the transfer of the codex from the hands of another qaraite to the Palestinian gaon Maṣliaḥ ha-Kohen b. Shelomo in 1135 CE. An additional short note documents another owner of the codex.
Dated: Nisan 1456 Seleucid, which is 1145 CE, under the authority of Shemuel b. Ḥananya. In the hand of Natan b. Shemuel. The widow, Sitt al-Tujjār, comes to court to collect her ketubba. the court examines her ketubba and finds that she is trustworthy. Letter from Yeshuʿa al-Qarawī 'the supervisor (mushārif) of the Qaysariyya,' in Sunbāṭ, to Shelomo ha-Sar ha-Nadiv. With a long Hebrew preamble with biblical phrases and blessings, followed by the body in Judaeo-Arabic.
Letter fragment addressed to the Nasi Shelomo. In Judaeo-Arabic and Hebrew. Also mentions various other distinguished people: the judge of judges (qāḍī al-quḍāh) and the Nagid David (I Maimonides, 1222–1300, held the office after 1237).
Written and signed by Natan b. Shelomo ha-Kohen. Dated: Tammuz 1436 Seleucid = June/July 1125 CE. […] Pressured by Hiba's refusal to pay his share of the debt, the other partner (Mūsā b. Bishr, who appears also in ENA 4011.55) brings Hiba to court. Engagement (shiddukhin) agreeement between Eliyyahu b. Moshe Riman/Diman/DeMan (?) of Manṣūra and Raḥel known as Kuḥla bt. […] The bride's father is no longer living, thus her mother Raḥma bt. Shelomo Ḥadād and brother Nedī(?) are mentioned on several occasions in connection with the marital arrangements.
Abū l-Makārim undertakes to sell his female slave Ghazāl if she behaves badly against his wife, the daughter of the head of the yeshiva (probably the Gaʾon Maṣliaḥ b. Shelomo ha-Kohen, Head of the Jews 1127–39), otherwise she has the right to sell her.
The signature on the right side of the document is badly damaged but is likely Shelomob. [...] ha-Kohen. MCD.
Testimony in Arabic script probably meant to accompany an investiture petition from the gaʾon Shelomob. Yehuda to the newly appointed caliph al-Mustanṣir billāh, listing the prerogatives the gaʾon has enjoyed for the past eleven years of his tenure.

Legal document. In the hand of Ḥalfon b. Menashshe. Dated: Last decade of Iyyar 1438 Seleucid, which is 1127 CE; the signing was deferred to the first decade of Sivan. This fragment contains the end of an agreement about a fictive sale of 1/3 of a house possessed by one Shelomo known as Tamīm, also involving a woman. On "fictive sales" as vehicles for obtaining interest, see Med Soc III, p. 330n77 and T-S 12.502 (doc. 43 in Gershon Weiss's dissertation).
Avraham Mosseri receives money from the communal rabbi Nissim Shelomo Algazi, as previously agreed. Isaac Sonina pledges to repay the funds if Avraham Mosseri does not do so upon the completion of the investment partnership. Witnessed by Ḥayyim ha-Levi, Joseph Yonah, Moses Mosseri, [...] b. Zechariah Mosseri (mentioned in the text as the brother of Abraham), and dated 1 Tevet 5508 AM (= 1747 CE) in Cairo.
