Letter from Khidr to a dignitary, probably, titled Shams al-Riʾāsa. The sender, identified in the tarjama as al-mamlūk Khiḍr, reports that since leaving Cairo he has been diligently engaged in the service of Mawlānā. He mentions making a purchase for his master in accordance with instructions and refers to obtaining a letter from the qāḍī, although the surrounding details are unclear. He appeals to Mawlānā’s customary benevolence toward him and closes with a prayer and ḥasbala.
