In which an official of a congregational mosque, perhaps the chief khaṭīb, complains about delayed payments to the deputy khaṭīb Mūsā b. […] The scribe who copied the biblical passages has glued this petition to another petition to Sitt al-Mulk, ENA 3974.3 (PGPID 19304), to form a single rotulus.

The formers charged in their suit that the latter took possession unlawfully (since a woman is not considered an heir) of a house in al-Qālūs which belonged to their father, the fact which probably was indicated in the original deed (kitāb aṣl) which was in their possession. […] However, the denials argued against the charges by the latter were that there had already passed 20 years from the death of her husband, during which she was in possession of that property (which was probably conveyed to her as her late portion of her marriage contract, l. 8).

The document also includes provisions for Riqa to live with two of her sons, Mordekhay and Aharon, who commit to care for their mother should she elect for this arrangement.

At the top of the list's columns, the year is barely legible in the heading but is possibly ה]תקנב] which is 1791/1792CE. Although the year is unclear, the usage of silver kuruş indicated by the "ق" at the top of the numerical columns assists in the dating of the document as no earlier than 1703CE (when the coinage began to appear in wide circulation: Pamuk, A Monetary History of the Ottoman Empire, 160).
