Description

Capitation tax receipt in Arabic script. Does not have the usual endorsements at the top (unless they were much higher up and torn away). For Barakāt(?) b. Bū l-Khayr the Jew's jizya payment in Fustat. Dated 507? Has a note written sideways in the right margin beginning bi-ḥuḍūr al-amīr... and mentioning the qāḍī and Mūsā. Reused for calendrical tables in Hebrew text. Needs further examination.
