Description

Deed of sale of a house in Fustat dated Dhū l-Qaʿda 643 AH = March/April 1286 CE. Refers to Fustat and the Mamṣūṣa quarter and enumerates the features of the property and its borders. The sum of 21 dinars is specified in elongated letters. On verso there are two faṣls for the document on recto. (Information mainly from Khan, ALAD pp. 20, 45, however he reads the date as 648 H) Join: Geoffrey Khan.
