Business letter from Avraham b. Farrāh, in Alexandria, to Yaʿaqov b. Avraham (and his sons Abū l-Ḥusayn Yūsuf and Abū Saʿīd Ibrāhīm), in Fustat. The writer describes the difficult situation, probably in North Africa, and writes about a merchant who had been lost on the road and almost died before he was found and brought to a ship. He also describes the movement of ships and merchandise in Alexandria and mentions taxes.

A version of the muwashshaḥ known as "al-ʿArūs" ("The Bride") attributed to the poet Ibn Ghazala al-Maghribī, a contemporary (and vizier?) of the Almohad caliph ʿAbd al-Muʾmin (r. 1133–63), who had the poet executed when he heard this poem, believing that it was describing a love scene between the poet and the caliph's sister Rumayla. Dating: Possibly Ayyubid or Mamluk-era, but this should be checked. 11 fragmentary lines are preserved from the bottom of the document. Mentions al-Rayyis al-Kāmil Amīn al-Ḥukm (at least in Mamluk times, the Amin al-Ḥukm was a qāḍī who supervised the estates of orphans). Also mentions "that day in Cairo." The name ʿImrān al-Ṣinhājī appears in the last line.

A group of people, including another physician named al-Shaykh al-Muhadhdhab, came to visit the patient and found al-Sadīd attending him. Al-Sadīd rudely ignored al-Muhadhdhab. After everyone had sat around the patient, al-Muhadhdhab said, "Are you angry at me? […] The writer of the letter editorializes: There were many people present who also don't attend the synagogue, but not because they were supporting al-Muhadhdhab, rather because they heard about how al-Sadīd had disparaged them.

Numerous drafts of the opening of a petition or an otherwise formal letter to the Fatimid Caliph al-ʾĀmir. In Arabic script. It is not clear if any of the substance of the letter is preserved, or if all this is formulary. In the margins of recto, there are also reckonings in Greek/Coptic numerals. Among the drafts under a basmala is also a poetry verse - "مَرَّ بِنا في قُرْطَقٍ أَخْضَرِ · مُزَرْفَنَ الأَصْداغِ بِالعَنْبَرِ".

He explains that he sent the quires (karārīs) for Sayyidnā with his father, and they were only delayed because he could not find a messenger. He wants al-Shaykh al-Makīn ('my teacher') to send the recipe for the collyrium (ashyāfa) known as al-maktūma (or al-makhtūma). On verso there are also some adages in Arabic script (also attested in literary sources), including "He who knows that he will be forgotten when he dies, let him act well and not be forgotten."

Addressed to a certain Muḥammad called Samiyy al-Dawla Jamāl al-[...] (an amīr titled Samiyy al-Dawla also appears in a legal document: T-S Misc. 22.280 dated 4th Shaʿban 438 H/3rd February 1047, ed. Khan, ALAD, no. 55). The sender refers to his emotional state (wa-baqiya qalb al-mamlūk....; another possible reading is wa-yashfī qalb al-mamlūk).
