Half the page is taken up with a Hebrew panegyric, presumably for the physician who wrote the prescription on recto, whose name is also given in red ink: Abū ʿUmar al-Ḥakīm. In the remaining half of the page, the patient [ʿAbd?]allāh the cantor writes a message thanking the physician: "I will drink the medicine tomorrow if God decrees it."

The house is located in Ḥārat Zuwayla, a neighbourhood in the northwest of the original Fatimid city of al-Qāhira, southwest of Bāb al-Futūḥ and northwest of Bāb al-Zuwayla, respectively the northern and southern gates of al-Qāhira. Ḥārat Zuwayla became the centre of Coptic residence in al-Qāhira following the catastrophic Muslim–Coptic religious riots of 721AH/1321 CE. These riots, triggered by the Mamluk sultan al-Nāṣir Muḥammadʾs demolition of a Coptic church to make way for his eponymous pond (al-Birkat al-Nāṣiriyya), resulted in a mass conversion of Copts to Islam.

T-S NS J570 contains descriptions of the celebration of the opening of the canal (al-Khalīj) by the caliph Maʿadd Abū Tamīm al-Mustanṣir Billāh, the vizier al-Yāzūrī (called Sayyid al-Wuzarāʾ), and the latter's two sons Khaṭīr al-Mulk and Ṣafiyy al-Mulk. The dates are given mainly according to the Islamic and Coptic calendars, but Rosh Hashana and Sukkot (of the year 4815 AM) are also used as reference points. These documents are uncited in the literature. They were identified by Alan Elbaum and identified as a join by Marina Rustow.
