The alphanumerical figure following this account heading is 750 (תשנ) which tentatively can be read as the total number of people who received haspaqa in Egypt or Cairo c. 1651-52 CE. This number seems somewhat high to have applied to just Cairo and might also include Torah scholars from Alexandria and Rosetta (Rashīd) which appear collectively in the final line of figures Toward the bottom of the recto. At least one other account listed on the recto refers to a collective group "מערבים" i.e. […] At least two of the names mentioned include the professional title "ṣayrāfī" (accountant/moneychanger) rather than the individual's surname.

[…] Dated in the eighth image as [Dhū] l-Ḥijja 1220 AH (1806 CE), which the scribe mentioned as the starting point for a year's worth of accounts (so indirectly 1221 AH). Although most of the pages are blank, there are sporadic accounts with many details of transactions in precious gemstones, such as: "cut diamond [sold to] Muḥ[ammad]/Maḥ[mūd] Qabbānī," "pearl [sold to] Esther ʿAfiyya," "piece of emerald from Vida and ..la[?]." […] Romano and his son(s)/daughter(s)," pointing to the likelihood that they were the jewelers to whom this account booklet belonged. MCD.
