Dated: Looks like 5334 AM, which would be 1573/74 CE but the third digit is not clear (alternate readings: 5354 AM and 5394 AM). Currencies mentioned include sharīfī.
The colophon identifies its young author as affiliated with Madrasa al-Qarabiyya, one of the first government-funded primary schools in Egypt.

Menashshe (fl. 1100–1138 CE) concerning Sitt al-Furs bt. Daniʾel ha-K[ohen]. Might mention the name Yehuda at the bottom but this is damaged and uncertain.
It seems to be addressed to the director of the bureau of mosques (mutawallī dīwān al-jawāmiʿ wa-l-masājid), asking for his permission for something (bi-idhnihi lahu fī dhālika).
The names are written mainly in Arabic script along with weights (e.g., raṭl, raṭl wa-nuṣf). Names include Umm Zuhayr, R.
Table of items in Arabic script. All of them seem to be foods/spices/perfumes/materia medica, such as chicory (hindibāʾ), caraway (karāwiyya), and pomegranate blossom (jullanār).

Letter from Shemarya b. Yakhin, in al-Maḥalla, sent to Shemuel ha-Nagid dealing with the production of cheese in Bashmur and its transport to Fustat.
He reports that Abū l-Surūr has already traveled.
Two entries are preserved. The phrase "ʿan al-mamʿūl fīhā" is preserved in both. There is a number (433?)
