Letter, opening with biblical quotations, including Psalms 16:8, 34:8 and 33:21, and mentioning commodities such as silk. (Information from CUDL.) The letter is addressed to a father. It is headed by the unusual formula בשמך רחמנא וחננא. Much of the text is in elegant rhymed prose, which along with the handwriting and the mention of the sulṭān (v8), suggests that this could be a letter from the physician Abū Zikrī to his father Eliyyahu the Judge in the early 13th century (cf.
