  • If you're looking for a word with one missing letter, use a period. Two missing letters, use two periods or {2}. Increase the number in the curly brackets to increase the number of characters, or insert a range with a comma in between, ex. {0,5}.
  • If you don't know how many characters are missing, use .*.
  • If you know which characters you want, use square brackets to find multiple spellings, ex. [יו] for yud or vav.

The withdrawal appears to have taken place six years before this document was written and the account with Abū al-Ḥasan was settled. The partnership likely charged interest on some of its loans, since the clients include Muslims and Christians (e.g., a Coptic clergyman from Barbaya).

Accounts in the hand of ʿArūs b. Yosef. Neatly written, large, and detailed. Evidently he wrote much more neatly when submitting accounts to his partners as compared to his notes for himself. Headed: "explanation of the account of my master Abū l-Faḍl [...]." Mentions transactions in labdanum(?)

Avraham and a party whose name is not preserved agree to a yearlong partnership, with accounts sent to Yefet every four months. There also may have been a distribution of partnership profits after six months. Yefet does not demand that the account be notarized. The soundness of mind clauses hint at a release; the unpreserved section of this document may have terminated an existing partnership, which was renewed in the preserved portion.
