(2) Abū l-Faḍl came and informed the sender about the death of the little boy. This shelfmark is intriguing on a material level, for the amount of compression it must have taken for so many pieces of paper to fuse together: at least 5-6 are visible on the recto alone. Some of the paper layers are very fibrous. This format gives off the appearance of cardboard, but may be an unintentional result of high compression in the geniza chamber from the collective weight of its contents.
