    Recto: Letter (end only) referring to difficult events that happened to Sayyidnā and the people of Fustat and Cairo, apparently delivered with an item of clothing that al-Shams/Shammās R. Yishaq had worked hard to mend. […] Verso: Note in a different hand addressed to the writer's 'brother', who is instructed to send the bolt of cloth (yeriʿa) without writing (alladhī bi-lā kitāba) or whose writing had faded (alladhī balā kitābuh) that was on the bench (ṣuffa). The writer informs the recipient that sayyidnā al-rayyis came to the synagogue and raised money until noon and then returned to Fustat.

    Letter by Yefet b. Menashshe Ibn al-Qaṭāʾif to one of his brothers. He reports that 'your mother and sisters' are well. […] He has sent with the bearer Abū Saʿd b. Abū l-Faḍl(?) b. ʿUmayr 3/4 mann of Byzantine wormwood (afsantīn rūmī), and "inside of it" there is a qirṭās inside of which there is scammony (maḥmūda). He has also sent נגאב ערבי with this letter for Abū l-Ḥasan the in-law of Ibn al-Qaṣabī.

    Fragment from the bottom of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Quite faded. The addressee is a notable and has a son named Moshe (ושלום רבינו משה חמודה יוסיף) — so could be Mevorakh b. […] Mentions a leader's pastoral care (אלמראעאה), how the Jews gathered and prayed for him in the synagogue (אגתמעו אליהוד ודעו לה פי אלכניס), and gratitude (shukr) for "al-haḍra al-shaykhiyya." Mentions "the witness (? al-shāhid) the cousin (ibn ʿamm) of this wicked man (al-rashaʿ)."
