Involves Avraham b. Faraj/Yeshuʿa al-Raḥbī who is known from several other documents from the late 11th century.
There are the remnants of 6 lines. Mentions Abū Isḥāq al-Kohen, and offers to carry out tasks on behalf of the addressee.
Probably a draft, as the fragment was already torn before this text was written. The text of the letter draft is surrounded by copious jottings in Hebrew and Arabic.
He set out with merchandise, but presumably lost everything along the way.
On recto there is an Islamic literary text (qāla l-nabiyyu ṣallā llāhu ʿalahi....).
Recipe or instructions in Arabic script. Likely alchemical. Mentions lead (three lines from the bottom) and "it becomes elixir" (iksīr) in the next line.

After a long protocol, the writer reports that he met with "Rabbana Ḥesed Mesos ha-Yeshiva" (Ḥesed al-Tustari?) to inform him of the addressee's benefactions.
