1. If the agent wants to write a marriage contract for him who sent him, to secure
2. the marriage with the woman whom he took for his sender with the power of attorney which is
3. in his possession, he writes the marriage contract according to this form. On day X
4. of the week, in month X, of year such and such of the era of documents: There came
5. before us sound and validated testimony that X b. Y
6. had performed a complete stringent qinyan, with an implement fit for doing so,
7. (to affirm) that he had appointed X b. Y as agent to betroth for him 
8. (Miss) X daughter of Y; and that whatever he stipulates as an obligation upon him and whatever he undertakes
9. as stipulations, he takes upon himself. He has made his jurisdiction like his (own) jurisdiction.
10. And this X may not say to him, to this X, his agent, "For (my) benefit
11. I sent you and not for (my) detriment." And whatever he undertakes as stipulations
12. and the advanced and delayed marriage payments are accepted by him. Following
13. this, X the agent said, intentionally, voluntarily,
14. and willingly, not coerced, not enticed, and not
15. intoxicated, rather, wholeheartedly, and with full senses, (that he desired)
16. to betroth X daughter of Y. And thus did he say to her, "Be to X
17. b. Y betrothed (mequddeshet) as wife. And he shall sustain, provide for,
18. clothe, and esteem you, in the manner of Jewish
19. men, who serve, nourish, provide for, clothe, esteem,

1. and honor their wives faithfully." And this (Miss) X listened to him (accepted the proposal)
2. and willingly consented to be married to X b. Y, with the intention that she will
3. serve, attend, esteem and honor him, in the manner of
4. decent wives, the daughters of Israel, who esteem, honor,
5. attend, and serve their husbands, faithfully, in purity
6. and cleanness. Since this (miss) X has reached her majority, has attained puberty
7. and is in her own jurisdiction, she willingly appointed for herself
8. X b. Y, as her agent to receive her betrothal money
9. from X b. Y, who sent by way of X b. Y, his messenger.
10. And she consented to all that he does in her affair and stipulates on her behalf and as an obligation upon her.
11. And two witnesses who are acquainted with her performed a qinyan with her for (affirming) this. The mohar
12. which they fixed between themselves is so much. There remains incumbent upon him so much as delayed payment,
13. (and) twenty-five zuz which are due her, and that which remains (as) the additional gift,
14. a debt. And this is what this bride brought in from her paternal home: articles of
15. gold worth so much, likewise articles of silver, likewise articles of copper,
16. and likewise clothing. And X, the agent of X, undertook that
17. the security for this marriage contract is undertaken by X, who sent him, and by
18. his heir after him, against all the best (and) choice property, possessions and monies that he
19. has under the heavens, indoors and outdoors, whether from real estate
20. or movables, even from the shirt off his back.
