Genealogical lists of Levites. According to Alan Elbaum, in the hand of Yedutun ha-Levi (late 12th–early 13th century), and part of a cluster with T-S Ar.6.28 (PGPID 1278), ENA 2592.24 (PGPID 12808), T-S K15.46 (PGPID 23221), and T-S Misc.8.72 (PGPID 8337). According to Moshe Yagur, the bottom section lists the family of Khalaf al-Dajājī and his sons. The eldest, Maʿānī b. Khalaf, was an early thirteenth-century Indian Ocean trader. Maʿānī had two wives, the first a freedwoman who bore him a girl and a boy, the second his maternal cousin, who bore him a son named Abū Saʿīd, who in turn is mentioned in the testimony from Abraham Maimonides’ court of 1226 testifying to the death of a merchant in "the lands of Java" (T–S Ar.30.42, PGPID 8181). Yagur points out that interestingly, while such lists normally omitted the names of women, this one also omits the name of Maʿānī’s son from his first wife—presumably because she was the son of a freedwoman and convert to Judaism. He also identified the deed of manumission for said wife: see T-S 12.872 (PGPID 20085).
