Receipt. Headed by the glyph. Al-Ḥājj Abū l-Ḥajjāj Yūsuf collected the rent for Muḥarram [6]22 AH (= January/February 1225 CE) in the last third of Ṣafar (early March) of the same year, and the rent for Ṣafar (February/March) in the [last] third of Rabīʿ I (early April) of the same year.
The sender complains that the bustān is ruined: the livestock have died of hunger and the produce has dried up, and al-rayyis Abū Isḥāq has taken possession of the bustān.
Mentions: Ibn ʿAṭiyya; possibly customs taxes (maks); someone drinking with his brother-in-law; a girl (al-ṣughayyira); Naḥum; Futūḥ; Maʿānī; and Hilāl b.
Note from Abū l-Faraj to Abū ʿAlī, urgently summoning him to the sender's home, it seems for a medical appointment ("to show me your eye").
Mentions the "peasants/farmers" (fallāḥīn) of Minyat al-Mukhliṣ, a small town in the Nile Delta, in in the heading on the upper right corner of the verso.
Mentions previous correspondence and different business matters, and names such as Abū Naṣr Ibn al-Sharābī, Abū l-Ḥasan and Abū As[...]. He inquires about the prices of pepper and lacquer and asks for a quick reply.
Yosef, 80 dinars, a monthly payment of 10 zuzim from the writer to the addressee, and the refusal of someone to appoint an agent. Dated at the end, ‘all this happened on Monday 24th Shevat 1404 of the Seleucid Era’ (= 1093 CE).
Elʿazar makes an acknowledgment in favor of Abū Naṣr al-ʿAṭṭār. No other details are preserved.
Maymūn, mentioning Sarah’s cousin, the mother of the writer, Mūsā the ugly (al-kāfūsh?)) and Yiṣḥaq the cantor. Dating: ca. 14th–17th century based on hand and formulae.
Addressed to a physician (al-ḥakīm). Contains prolonged blessings and praises, hopes that God will remove a cause of discord, and curses upon sinners and enemies.
The bottom two lines are intriguing: "the Byzantines blocked the road before us (פקטעו אלרום עלינא אלטריק). . . and I put it in my belt (al-himyān). . . ." (Information in part from CUDL)
The first few letters of about a dozen lines from the main text block are preserved, but almost no complete words.
Mentions Sar ha-Sarim; a burniyya (a kind of vessel); 'our master' (adonenu); a paste (maʿjūn); Ibrāhīm al-[...]; and a small amount of ambergris (ʿanbar).

The month Ṣafar is mention in the upper left corner of the recto but it does not appear alongside a specific year. Further examination required.
The accounts may be related to pigments or dyes given the mention of a few colors and the title al-awlānī (אלאולאני). MCD.
List of names and Hebrew alphanumerical values, extensive and well-preserved. Dating: 15th- or 16th-century based on the paleography.
From one who boasts to have belonged to ‘the owners of money’ (aṣḥāb al-amwāl) and became one of those who lost their riches (מיורדים מנכסיהם).

Only isolated phrases are preserved (wa-ayḍan... an yubādira bi-stiʿmālihi... wa-ghayruhā min al-nawāḥī... wa-in iḥtajta ilā..) May be literary or paraliterary, e.g., instructions for something.
In any case, the contextual clues all point to late-nineteenth-century dating.
A list of revenue for two months is partly preserved. All names given here have been encountered in previous documents.

David appears to have recently arrived from the Maghreb (al-Mahdiya). The letter is largely about sending and receiving correspondence.
The ends of 8 lines are preserved. Mentions obedience (al-samʿ wa-l-ṭāʿa li-l-amr), and it seems the sender is asking for orders.
The beginning formula following the taqbīl resembles petition openings during the time of the Fatimid caliph al-ʾĀmir. (For parallels see - T-S Ar. 30.273, T-S Ar. 38.138, T-S Ar. 34.88).
