The sender refers to his prior report (khidma) which was the response to the addressee's noble letter (jawāb kitāb al-karīm) and contained the latestnews (bayān al-mutajaddida). The addressee is someone powerful: there are prayers for the longevity of his "dawla," "mamlaka," and "sulṭān" (دولته and مملكته appear in l1, سلطانه in l2).
