Legal document. On parchment. Appears to be a writing exercise, because there are multiple efforts and because there are inconsistencies (on recto Abū l-Maʿānī states that he gave money to Abū l-Faḍl and on verso he receives money); however, verso is signed by Natan b. Natan ha-Kohen and Ḥiyya b. Shelomo ha-Kohen like a genuine document. Location: Fustat. Date: Nisan 1456 Seleucid = March/April 1145 CE, under the authority of the Nagid Shemuel b. Ḥananya. The document has to do with a payment of 20 dinars and a release from subsequent claims. (Information in part from Goitein's index card.)
