1. he turned the child into a stone in the belly of Caesar’s daughter, and a stone fell down below her,

2. and she was about to die. Caesar answered and said to them: “But wasn’t  

3. she pregnant with a male (baby)—so why did a stone come out of her?” Yeshuʿa and Yoḥanan answered: “There are among the Jews men

4. who made the child into a stone in its mother’s belly.” And the virgin died.

5. King Tiberinus answered and said to the Jews: “Happy are you, that (God) revealed the secret of the mysteries to you, and confounded the counsel

6. of these magicians who irritate Him every day.” Our teachers answered and said

7. to King Tiberinus: “What is due by the law that we will judge them already?” He answered and said: 

8. “Do to them as you see fit, so that they will not destroy your communities from the world.” At that time

9. they shackled both of them and sent them to Tiberias which is in the town of Yahud,

10. and they set up a tree for them. And they hung Yoḥanan on the tree, and he died, and they buried him.

11. And after him they hung Yeshuʿa the wicked on the tree. Yeshuʿa the wicked said to those who believed

12. in him: “If you come tomorrow and you do not see me on the tree— know that I ascended to Heaven.”

13. And we also heard that when they hung him, he too (was?) misleading with magic, and he asked

14. them for powerful vinegar and he drank (it). They stoned him on the tree. They brought him down and buried him under

15. a deep water- [    ] inside the orchard of Yehudah the orchard-man. In the morning of the Sunday,

16. the [peo]ple whom Yoḥanan and Yeshuʿa had misled [     ], and caught the Jews,

17. ... “... dealing with a lie; who ... ” “This man whom you (pl.) have hung—his body, what did you (pl.) do

18. with it?” He (i.e., Yehudah) said: “It (i.e., the body) remained.” And Pelatus answered and said to Yehudah: “Now go and bring

19. Yeshuʿa the wicked into the market, until his believers believe that he was truly killed.”

20. Yehudah went and tied a rope to his (i.e., Yeshu’s) leg, and he dragged him in the markets of the great Rome,

21. and they proclaimed about him: “This is Yeshuʿa the wicked who rebelled against God, besides whom there is none,

22. and who has no o[ther] equal (to Him), forever.” He (i.e., Yehudah) revealed him and his face, and all those who believed in him saw him (i.e., saw Yeshu’s body).

23. [Blessed i]s the Lord who revealed His secret to his servants and to his prophets and his pious (believers). Amen Amen Selah.
