Letter in Judaeo-Arabic. Fragment (bottom part). Asking for help from the addressee. Mentions R. Avraham; being in great distress (wa-l-sāʿa al-shidda ʿaẓīma); lack of clothing for the writer and their child; talking to somebody about this on one of the nights of the holiday; and he says he is "sitting in the store" but no syrups or sugar are coming in (mā yajīʾ fīhā raṭl sharāb wa-lā sukkar). The handwriting resembles that of Yosef b. Shemuʾel b. Saʿadya ha-Levi, though if it were actually him the letter would likely have better spelling.
