תיאור

State document in Arabic script, probably a petition. Six fragments are preserved. The addressee is referred to with the titles al-Malikī al-Nāṣirī, which in Geniza documents are typically titles of Saladin (less likely the Mamluk sultan by this name who ruled 1293–1341). T-S AS 39.36 and T-S AS 39.30 join directly, but it is not immediately clear how the other pieces join. The petitioner may be named Shihāb (al-Dīn?). One of the key phrases in the substance of the petition is ايقاع الحوطة علي. Needs further examination. (Information in part from CUDL.)
