תיאור

Marriage contract (ketubba) stating that the 200 zuz were "established by the holy college" and the dinars bear the sign "of the temporal ruler." Date, location and witnesses are not preserved, but the marriage probably took place outside of Egypt, as a gift of an ‘Egyptian sheet’ is mentioned. (Friedman, Jewish Marriage, vol. 2, 301-9) EMS

  6. [... Ḥ]usn, the virgin, the bride, daughter of Mardūk (whose) s(oul is at) r(est), in complete qiddushin with two hundred zuz, as the holy college had established.
  7. [...] The two of them consented, in the presence of trustworthy Jewish men, valid witnesses, that her mohar be thirty-five dinars of pure, good quality gold.  
  8. [...] And he has already presented to her, at the time of her betrothal, five dinars. And there remain incumbent upon him thirty dinars of good quality gold, with the insignia of the temporal ruler. 
  9. [...He gave] her from his money an Egyptian sheet, an absolute and permanent gift. And this is what she brought from the Merciful and from the house of her fat[hers:]
