1. By the name of the Lord. May we prosper in what we do. In a good sign.  
2. On day X of the week, which is month X, of the year four thousand,
3. eight hundred and such and such A.M., which is year
4. 1,393 of the era of documents, 
5. and from the destruction of the Temple, one thousand and such and such years—may the Merciful rebuild it in our day  
6. and in the days of all Israel—(this) marriage contract was written, here, in place  
7. X, which is situated by locality X: R. X son of X said to Miss
8. X daughter of X, the virgin, "Be my wife, according to the law of Moses, the prophet, and Israel,  
9. the chosen. And I will serve, feed, support, sustain, maintain,
10. and honor you, in the manner of Jewish men, who feed, <clothe,> and esteem
11. their wives, faithfully. And I will give you the value of the beauty of your virginity  
12. in a ketubba of 200 zuz, which Moses instructed to give to the daughters  
13. of Israel, the virgins." Similarly responded X, the bride, and declared
14. and undertook to serve, attend, esteem and honor
15. R. X , the groom, according to the norms of women, the daughters of Israel, who serve 
16. attend, esteem, and honor their husbands, in purity and cleanness.  
17. "And I, X, the groom, willingly have released (hereby release) X , the virgin, the bride, of all  
18. vows, bonds, oaths, and vows by ḥerem, which are (will be) upon her from this
19. day until the time that she will be under my jurisdiction. They are all forgiven and pardoned  
20. by the Merciful and by me, I, X , her husband, as it is written, 'Her husband 
21. has annulled them, and the Lord will forgive her.' " And R. X, the groom, said, "This, the mohar of your virginity
22. is so much the advanced payment and so much the delayed payment.” And these are the total  
23. of the articles which she brought in to him with herself from her  father's house to her husband's house:  
24. clothing, worn clothing, and jewelry, evaluated at such and such. And thus said  
25. R. X , the groom: "I undertake the responsibility for this marriage contract, on myself and on  
26. my heirs after me. And male children that you may have by me shall inherit  
27. your ketubba money beyond their share with their brothers from another  
28. wi[fe]. And female children that you may have by me (they) shall dwell in my [ho]me  
29. and shall be sustained from my property until they are married to Jewish men,  
30. the children of Israel. And if you are taken captive, I will ransom you with my possessions,  
31. exclusive of your ketubba money; and I will take you back. And I will not wron[g] you concerning  
32. this. And if I go to my eternal home before you, you shall dwell
33. in my house and be supported from my estate for the [d]uration of your widowhood  
34. or until you choose to tell my heirs to pay to you the money 
35. of your ketubba . And if you go to your eternal home bef[or]e me, I will
36. attend to your shrouds and to your burial; and I shall inherit you." And [they] likewise stipulated]
