1. [ ... ] that if you wish we will send and summon

2. Yoḥanan the Dyer and see what he says

3. and pass judgment upon them (i.e., Yeshu and Yoḥanan). And Yehoshuʿa ben

4. Peraḥiah looked for Yehudah Svariota and Shimeʿon

5. Kepha and Binyamin, and sent them after Yoḥanan

6. the Dyer. And they went to the town Kephar Tanḥum,

7. and Yehudah the gardener went with (some) men,

8. and they found him (i.e., Yoḥanan) imprisoned, for Tiberinus

9. Caesar had imprisoned him, and (i.e., since) he was misleading a great (number of) people from

10. among the Jews. And they brought Yoḥanan the Dyer, and placed

11. him before R. Yehoshuʿa ben Peraḥiah and before
12. Marinus and before Agl[i]tus. Yehoshuʿa answered

13. and said to Yoḥanan: “These writings of magic

Verso (second section)

1. that were found in the hands of Yeshu, your disciple— if

2. you tell us the truth, we will release you, but if not,

3. you and Yeshu will be executed by a double-edged sword.”

4. Yoḥanan answered and said to them: “Masters! These writings—

5. Yeshu wrote them. I—Tiberinus Caesar had im[pris]oned me,

6. and Yeshu [...] did not show me,

7. but he and his eleven disciples wrote them

8. and were misleading people (with them).” They answered

9. and said to him: “The disciples of Yeshu—what are their names?”

10. He said to them: “Naqi and Matai and Luqa and Alqi

11. and Altigus and Yehudah, and Paulus and Patmus and Netzer

12. and Buni and Todah.” [They ans]wered and said: “Who is going

13. after them?” Yehudah Svariota answered [... ...]

2. in our hand are (books) of healing.” [He answered]

3. and said to them: “What healing [is in them?]”

4. They said to him: “Every healing that our master wishes.

5. And also a woman who is barren, who did not give birth—

6. we can give her a child without (intercourse with) a man.

7. When Caesar heard (this), he made fun of them.

8. He said to them: “I have a daughter, a virgin—

9. can you grant her children without (intercourse with) a man?” [ ... ... ]

6. Yehudah the gardener went and took him out, and dragged

7. him in the streets of Tiberias, and proclaimed and said: “This is

8. Yeshu, son of Pandera, who rebelled against the great God who is

9. in Heaven.” He brought him before the king, and he summoned [ ... ]

7. He will bring a judgment and retribution on whoever abandons the worship of Heaven and worships and bows down to Yeshu

8. the wicked and (on) whoever says, “He ascended to Heaven and is missing (?) ...”
