Marriage agreement between a Rabbanite husband and a Qaraite wife, with a 30 dinar fine to the poor if one transgresses the religious practices of the other. The groom is called al-Rayyis Abu Ali Yefet ha-Kohen, and the bride is called [Sitt?]
Mentions: giving or paying something to Yaʿaqov; the testimonies (al-shahādāt... shahādāt kathīr mukhtalifa...); an urging not to forget to add the validation (qiyyum), presumably on the same testimonies; the price of mandrake root (luʿāb); and Khalaf al-[...].
The language is very legalistic and it could also be a legal document. It seems to be describing the terms of a reconciliation agreement.
For an example of the appearance of a name and location, on the recto's left section "Skenderiye/Alexandria" is mentioned, as is the name "Yūsuf" in the same entry (l. 18r).

Mentions Abū Manṣūr; Amīn al-[...]; the Kārim convoy and whether something will happen in time for the 'mawsim'; the current prices for aloe; a request to be informed the prices of mastic; greetings to [Abū l-]Rabīʿ, to whom the sender had sent a letter of condolence on the death of his cousin (ibn ʿamm).
The date is given according to multiple calendars, including 13 Iyyar 4909 AM, which is 23 April 1149 CE. Also dated 13 Dhū l-Qiʿda 543 AH (should be Dhū l-Ḥijja, as Goitein comments).

There is some sort of registration mark at the top of the page, which resembles those used by the offices of Yehoshua Maimonides (d. 1355) and David II Maimonides (d. 1410).

The sender received Frankish kohl (kuḥl ifrānjī) from the addressee but does not know its price. There are also standard expressions of yearning for the address (מא נעדם מן אללה סוי אלנצר אלי טלעתהם אלרשידה).

Beautiful fragment of a legal document from Alexandria in the hand of the court clerk Mawhub. A father gives an entire house to his son Yaʿaqov, who was borne to him by his wife Rafi'a.
Shari undertakes to pay after his return from Alexandria, no later than after 40 days. Dated Iyyar, 1028, and witnessed by seven signatories, headed by Yosef ha-Kohen, the judge.
Only the opening and the address are preserved, along with a note in the upper margin requesting a speedy response (jawāb), together with the fatwas (al-fatāwā, i.e. responsa) of Bū l-Maʿālī.
