    Recto: two alchemical recipes, the first on the use of a water derived from a preparation of tutty (an oxide of zinc), which is left overnight to congeal into a stone; the second deals with a preparation with tartar (potassium tartarate) white sal ammoniac (in transliteration from Arabic here), copper, sulfur, salpeter (nitre, mineral of potassium nitrate), sea salt, and white copper, mentioning the use of a waterproof glass container and another vessel isolated with the clay of the sages (Ar. Ṭīn al-ḥikma, Lat. argilla philosophorum, lutum sapientiae). Verso: instructions for the production of an amulet for a barren woman, with magical characteres and two small Stars of David, and instructions for the production of an amulet for avoiding dangers on the road.     Sahlān, records the dissolution of a partnership between Ibn al-Kashshāsh Isḥaq b. Elijah and Samḥūn b. Tamīm. Isḥaq is to pay six dinars at the end of roughly seven months, at the end of the month of Tishri of the next year, and Samḥūn thereby absolved Isḥaq of any further obligation. Isḥaq also agreed that if he were to travel to the West without Samḥūn, that he would pay the six dinars prior to his departure.

    Daniʾel ha-Kohen releases ʿAbdallāh aka ʿOvadya b. Meshullam al-Ṣūrī from their partnership in weaving. The terms of the dissolution require Abraham to pay Obadiah 10 dinars. Following the dissolution, each partner is allowed to work on his own in the same industry, both individually and with other partners. Presumably each of the partners committed all his efforts and production to the partnership, to the exclusion of other business transactions, prior to the dissolution.

[…] Apparently a fruit seller (al-fakkāh) named [...] Ibn ʿAtīq entered Samyūn's house at night when Samyūn was away and began insulting Samyūn and others (انه اتا في الليل الى دار سميون العبد متولي السيارة وهو على حاله وسميون غائب فشتمه وشتم غيره). The following lines mention something Samyūn said; the involvement of another official (al-ʿāmil); and someone taking an oath (وقسمه باليمين).

    Abū l-Majd is to give 10 dirhams to Yeshuʿa for teaching Ibn al-Ziftāwī through the end of Pesaḥ 1529 Seleucid (=1218 CE). T-S K25.240 consists of small written orders, partly in Hebrew and partly in Arabic script, for monthly payments, made out of the rent-revenue from the pious foundation (waqf) 'Compound of the Poor' or from the pious foundation made by the physician al-Muhadhdhab. All dated orders are from spring and summer, 1218.
