  2. waraq, of Egyptian tender, for the rent of his apartment in the ṭabaqa of the upper part of
  3. the compound which is opposite the Synagogue of the Babylonians,
  4. known as (the compound) of al-Shaykh Abū Naṣr b. al-Shaykh Abūʾl-Mūna,
  5. of blessed memory, for one lunar year of 12 months,
  6. beginning on the first of the month of Adar II 1497,
  7. corresponding to Dhūʾl-ḥijja of the year 581.
