Two sets of 'rules' or 'rights' (ḥuqūq) in Judaeo-Arabic, the first set for 'matter' (? mādda) and the second set for 'mind' (ʿaql). The first set is all about eating, including "that he not eat bad foods like carrot, onion, squash, eggplant, garlic, vegetables, cabbage, and cheese." The second set: "that he think before he strike, and that he make it (= his mind) govern him in all his activities."
