Description / Bio

Enslaved man who is mentioned in a letter that was sent by Khalaf b. Yiṣḥaq in Aden to Avraham Ibn Yiju in Dahbattan on the Malabar coast. The dating estimate for the letter is post-1138/1139 CE according to Goitein and Friedman. (Information from PGP and Craig Perry, Slavery and the Jews of Medieval Egypt, Appendix 1, no. 15)
