Merchant who traveled between Aden and India. On one occasion, he carried copper vessels from Mangalore back to Aden for Yosef b. Avraham on the ship of Fidyār. Yosef b. Avraham also introduced Abū ʿAlī to Ibn Yijū because Abū ʿAlī was new to al-Hind
