Recto: Right half of a letter in Arabic addressed to a brother and/or son (perhaps a younger brother?). In Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: probably no earlier than ca. 15th century. Mentions weeping from loneliness; greetings for Yosef; Masʿūda; the sender's wife. The late colloquial word באש appears. Mentions something "in Arabic." Verso is also a shorter note in a similar handwriting that appears to have been written after the page was torn in half. Begins with a mention of R. Barukh, then Masʿūd of Istanbul, then the noble and enlightened sage Masʿūd b. Barukh. The next three lines are cryptic (something magical?) and conclude with ושלום and maybe the sender's rudimentary signature. Merits further examination.
