- السيد الاجل الافضل امير الجيوش سيف الاسلام ناصر الامام
- كافل قضاة المسلمين وهادي دعاة المؤمنين ابو الفضل العباس الظافري
- بكتب هذا المنشور بذلك اتباعا فيهم لسنن الائمة الاطهار
- وافتفائهم في محاسن الاثار برعاية الرهبان المقدم ذكرهم
- ومن ينتجع اليهم ويطرا عليهم واصحابهم من اهل ملتهم والتابعين
- لهم والمتصرفين في تحصيل اقواتهم وغير ذلك من مصالحهم التي لا [غنى]
- عنها لامثالعم وحفظهم وحياطتهم وصونهم في انفسهم واصحابهم
- السالكين سبيلهم وكف الايدي من الحاضرة والبادية عن
- اذيتهم وعن الامتداد بسوء اليهم وحسم مواد الضرر عنهم واعفائهم من كل ما
- يلزمونه ويطالبون به ويكرهون على ادائه والقيام به من الرسوم
- والمؤن والغرامات وسائر الكلف التي لم تجر بها حملا لهم
- على عدل الدولة ورفقا بهم ورعاية لذمة الاسلام فيهم
- وعملا بقضايا السجلات التي بايديهم فمن قراه او قرئ عليه
- من الامراء والولاة بالشرقية ومدينة الفرما ادام الله تمكينهم ومتولي الحرب بالطور ادام الله سلامته
- فليعلم ذلك من الامر وليعمل به ولينته الى موجبه وحكمه
- وليقر بايديهم او بيد من يقع تخيرهم عليه حجة لهم بما تضمنه في اليوم وما يليه
- بعد ثبوته بحيث يثبت مثله ان شا الله تعالى
- وكتب في ذي الحجة سنة ثمان واربعين وخمس ماية
- الحمد لله وحده وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد نبيه وعلى اله
- الطاهرين الائمة المهديين وسلم تسليما
- حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل

- the Most Honoured and Most Excellent Lord, Commander of the Armies, Sword of Islam, Helper of the Imam,
- Protector of the Kadis of the Muslims, Guide of the Dāʿīs of the Believers, Abū’l-Faḍl al-ʿAbbās al-Ẓāfirī,
- to write this open decree to that effect, following in their treatment the customs of the pure Imams
- and doing according to their noble deeds: to protect the aforementioned monks
- and those who come to visit them and their co-religionists who accompany them,
- those who follow them and those who are employed in obtaining their food and other necessaries, without which people like them cannot do;
- to guard and defend them and keep them safe, their persons and their companions
- who walk in their path, and refrain, both settled people and bedouins from
- harming them and doing evil to them, to keep away from them everything that may damage them,
- to exempt them from all that is imposed upon, and exacted from them, and which they are forced to pay
- namely such taxes, tributes and fines and other impositions are not customary;
- so that they be treated according to the justice of the empire and with mildness, observing the protection accorded by Islam to them
- and acting in conformity with the documents which are in their hands.
- Let the amīrs, the governors in the Sharqiyya province, and the city of al-Farmā, may God prolong their safe establishment, and the military governor of al-Ṭūr, may God prolong his welfare,
- who read this or to whom this is read, take cognizance of this order and act accordingly, and follo its contents and ordinance.
- Let it be kept by them, or by those whom they choose for this purpose, as evidence for its contents today and in the future,
- after being registered where such documents as registered, if God wills.
- Written in Dhū l-Ḥijja, in the year five hundered forty eight.
- Praise to be God alone, and my God bless our Lord Muḥammad His prophet and his pure family, the right guided Imams, and give them peace.
- God is sufficient for us; how excellent a Keeper is He!

- Let that which concerns the Sharqiyya and related matters be registered, praise be to God, Him I take as my help.
- What concerns the Sharqiyya has been registered; praise be to God - the praise of those who are grateful to him.
- Let that which concerns the fortresses of al-Ṭūr and related matters be registered; the praise be to God for his bounty.
- Let it be registered in the office of inspection of the Frontier-fortresses, may they be protected, and the noble al-Ṭūr, and what is joined to them, if God wills.
