Legal record (#49) in a court register/pinqas from a Karaite beit din in Cairo (on f. 17v of Yevr.-Arab. I 328). Dated 13 Elul, but the year is not stated nor is "סנה תאריכה" clearly connected to the previous entry on the recto of folio 17: which is dated Tishrei 5323 AM (1562 CE). If the year 5323 AM were intended by the scribe, this association would leave a gap of ~twelve months between entries, which does not seem possible. The court register entry is a brief record of Shemuʾel b. Yaḥya Fayrūz oath to Yaʿaqov al-Ḥazzan that, before the holiday of Shavuʿōt, he will deliver "sound/whole earthenware jars... in exchange for the ones that broke." MCD.
