2. The witnesses named in this document bore testimony [ ]
3. Muḥammad son of the commander Treasure of the Dynasty (Kanz al-Dawla) ʾAbū al-Makārim Hibat Allāh [ ]
4. from the people of Dendur, one of the seven villages, that they [acknowledged and called witnesses to testify]
5. to their actions while healthy in mind and body and legally capable [of conducting their affairs, ]
6. in it in the possession of them both, not in the possession of one of the two of them, [the witnesses bore testimony] to all that [ ]
7. belonging to Ghalyūn ibn Sulaymān ibn Ghalyūn, who is named in this document [ ]
8. two shares, two from three shares, and the remainder of that [which is the third of one share]
9. of three shares to Pāpāy the daughter of Ampātā, the Christian woman [ ]
10. the length of which is nine cubits, according to (the length of) cubit that is in current use [ ]
11. and bordered on the land of Nubia in the west [ and in the east bordered]
12. on the Nile. Its southern boundary extends to the place of [ ]
13. Its northern boundary extends to the place of the land of Muḥammad [ ]
14. to the Nile. Its western boundary extends to the desert [ ]
15. the village known as Hindāw, which was known formerly [ ]
16. ibn Ḥasan ibn al-Ḥusayn. Its northern boundary extends to [ ]
17. thoroughfare. Its eastern boundary extends to a house known as . [ ]
18. Aswan in the north, known as the dwelling place of the Beja in [ ]
19. Its southern boundary extends to a house known as (that of) Nasība [ ]
20. extends to a house known as (that of) Muʾnisa the Christian woman. Its [northern] boundary [ ]
21. Its western boundary extends to the hollow … [ ]
22. high, and (cultivated) land in it and uncultivated land, and a river and every watering place [ ]
23. and riverbank, and a building, with a lower floor and an upper floor in the open air .. [ ]
24. [all that] is in and appertains to that with regard to its rights. Every right belongs to every [one of them inside]
25. and drinking what belongs to him with regard to that, drinking from the well of its water, by which it is irrigated, [whether this be little]
26. or much. The passage to all that safely is included in its rights all [ ]
27. which includes four cows and two bulls and all [ ]
28. forty head of riding animals, twenty of which [ ]
29. with a valid recognition, so that it was not hidden from them nor from [one ]
30. according to what was mentioned previously, on the condition that what belongs to Ghalyūn ibn Sulaymān [ ]
31. three shares, and the remainder of that, which is a third of one share [ ]
32. in it, with a valid, effective, operative partnership, on the condition that whatever [ ]
33. delivery of his portion of that, its sale, and the disposition of it [ ]
34. All of that is in their hands. Whenever one of them claims [ ]
35. and claims that for him and on his behalf in his lifetime, or through his disposal, after [ ]
36. or in some visible part thereof, and in all his power in this world and the [next ]
37. document, the acknowledgement and partnership that are attributed to him and [ ]
38. [ ] those entering into partnership [named in this document]

1. ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn Maʿbad witnessed the acknowledgement by the seller and the buyer of everything that has been attributed to them in it. Hewrote it with his own writing on its date.
2. Kāmil ibn Khamīs ibn ʾIbrāhīm witnessed the acknowledgement by the seller and the buyer of everything that has been attributed
3. to them in it. It was written on his behalf and in his presence on its date.
4. Qilādī ibn Mawlā witnessed the acknowledgement by the seller and the buyer of everything that is in it.
5. It was written on his behalf and in his presence on its date.
