תיאור

Letter from a certain Bū l-Fatḥ "al-Malikī al-Kāmilī" to a distinguished physician. No details are preserved beyond the grand titles of the addressee. The sender may be identical with the Fatḥ al-Dīn who is known to have served as a supervisor of physicians under al-Malik al-Kāmil; see T-S AS 146.164 (PGPID 29072). On verso there is additional text in Arabic script, maybe a preface to ethical exhortations (اسمع مني ما ا . . . . فهو من . . . .). Underneath there is part of the table of contents of a Judaeo-Arabic halakhic work: אלבאב אלתאלת עשר פי מא יתעלק באמר אלשמטה אלבאב אלראבע עשר פי מא יתעלק בחסאב אלעומר . . . ואלשהור . . .
