Fol. 1: Letter(s) in Judaeo-Arabic. Recto is a fragmentary letter containing mostly formulaic expressions of deference (al-mamlūk, al-mawlā, al-ḥaḍra al-sāmiya, request for forgiveness, request to carry out a task for the sender). Verso may be an independent note requesting that Abu l-Faraj al-Kohen al-Jalīl hand over the deposited turban (al-ʿamāma al-mawdūʿa) to the bearer. The hand may be known.
