Original use: remnant of a state document (fiscal register?). Very little is preserved apart from a date: the end of Dhū l-Ḥijja 546(?) AH, which would be April 1152 CE if read correctly. Reused for a responsum on the superiority of Aaron over David, quoting biblical sources (Numbers 18:11; Malachi 2:5; Numbers 17:11; 2 Chronicles 23:13). (Information in part from CUDL.)
