Recto: Legal query in Judaeo-Arabic. Elegant handwriting. Two men with a legal dispute met in one of their houses. One of them left (apparently drunk) and a gentile brought him before the ruler of the city (mutawallī al-madīna; later called al-wālī) and he was fined for drunkenness. He apparently blames the other man for this unfortunate event and seeks to make him liable for his fine.
