תיאור
Report of the death of a Jewish woman. In Arabic script. Dated: Monday, 13 Shaʿbān 657 AH, which is 5 August 1259 CE. The deceased is Sutayt bt. Mufaḍḍal. Her heir is her father. The witnesses are Hilāl b. Bū ʿAlī and Bū Saʿd b. Sālim. There is a validation—stating that the witnesses are trustworthy elders of the Jews—written in the hand of the Nagid David I Maimonides, who signs his name "Dāʾūd the son of the ḥākim Ibrāhīm b. Mūsā, Head of the Jews (Rayyis al-Yahūd)." (Information from Khan.)

- المماليك ينهوا وفاة ستيت بنت مفضل اليهودى
- وتركت من الورثة المستحقين لميراثها ابوها المذكور
- وكان ذلك يوم الاثنين ثالث عشر من شهر شعبان سنة
- سبع وخمسين وستمائة ولما علموا صحة ذلك وضعوا خطوطهم
- فى التاريخ المذكور والحمد لله الدائم البقا

- In the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
- The slaves report the death of Sutayt daughter of Mufaḍḍal, the Jew.
- She left by way of heirs having right to her inheritance her aforementioned father.
- This was on Monday, the thirteenth of the month of Shaʿbān, in the year
- six-hundred and fifty-seven. When they (the witnesses) recognized the validity of this they attached their signatures,
- on the aforementioned date. Praise be to God, the eternal.

- The slave reports that the people who attached their signatures hereto

- head of the Jews.
