תיאור

Note from a communal official probably addressed to Avraham Maimonides, requesting guidance regarding distribution of funds. Mentions the shammash, the gabbay, and the ḥazzan. Most of the document consists of an account of expenditures including for al-Paqid; bread; clothing; four days of food for a man from Tripoli (al-Ṭarābulusī) who spent shabbat in Cairo. Recto concludes with the request for guidance (יאמרני ירום הודו כיף נקסמהא) and mentions that the sender is sick (לאנני מריץ). It's not clear if verso is a separate entry or part of the main document; mentions Daniʾel; Bū l-Faḍl; a Mallorcan (Māyurqī), Umm Hilāl, and another name. Toward the bottom of recto, Avraham Maimonides (or less likely his son David who had very similar handwriting) has responded with a brief note: תוזע כדלך ושלום ("distribute in this way, and peace").
