תיאור
Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic and Hebrew. Dating 16th-century or later based on the paleography. The first section of accounts on the recto lists "people" collectively in specific entries– for example as "בני בחרייא" might be residents from Bahariya, a location or cardinal direction[?]. The meaning of the entries in the second section of the recto is clearer because specific names are listed, such as: Ḥasan Sūqī, ʿAlī Agha, and Kamal al-Dīn. The verso has detailed heading explaining that the entries represent income from the Egyptian city of Manfalut on the Nile. The entries again list various individuals and collective groups (בני). One cryptic entry might be based on the word for crocodile in Arabic תמסחייא" (تمساح)" but its exact meaning is unclear. MCD.
