מכתב AIU VII.E.7תיאור
Letter from an unidentified sender to his 'brother' the dyer (al-ṣabbāgh) Abū l-Manṣūr b. ʿIwāḍ (he is also referred to as Bū Manṣūr), in Alexandria. In Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: likely 12th or 13th century. The letter has to do with a commodity called תסתט (?) and transfers of money. The addressee is not to sell it and send its price until he receives a document/signature (khaṭṭ) from the judge. If the judge sends this with Abū l-Faraj the glassmaker (al-jazzāz), he should sell the תסתט, take his share of the money, and send the rest. If he can't find anyone to send it with, he should give it to Sulaymān b. Abū l-ʿAlāʾ al-Kohen and/or Abū Isḥāq b. Abū l-Karam Ibn. al-[...]. Greetings to Manṣūr and his son ʿIwāḍ.
