תיאור

Fragment of a letter in Judaeo-Arabic, written in a large square script. Mentions the word "maḥmūda" which can either be a medical ingredient (scammony) or simply the adjective "praiseworthy." It is not clear which one is intended here, but probably the latter. The sender continues with exhorting the addressee with moral advice: "... this will be good for you, and rejoice... rectify your certainty in your Lord... and He/it will save you... and receive what I tell you and be content in it... this is the best for you... and this is what I tell you... a person, indeed God has judged... for the better." (Information in part from CUDL)
