תיאור

Recto and verso: Letter in the hand of Moshe b. Levi ha-Levi (d. 1212). In Judaeo-Arabic, with the address on verso in Arabic script (to Fustat, al-Sūq al-Kabīr, to be given to Abū l-Ḥasan al-[Yahūdī?]). The person in the address might be Moshe's brother (Abū l-Ḥasan Yedutun). Reporting on the status of certain quires (karārīs), including "the 10, 11, and 12" (אלי יא יב), and telling the addressees not to worry about them. Mentions the names of specific parshiyot (Mishpaṭim, Pequde); greetings; and mentions sums of dinars. Verso: Fragment from the end of a different letter in Judaeo-Arabic, in a rudimentary hand, probably that of Abū Sahl Levi (Moshe's father). Sending good wishes and asking the addressee to erase the letter with water after reading it (ותפצל אדא קראתה אגסלה באלמא).
