תיאור

Recto: Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. Mercantile. Mentions something coming from Gaza and possibly the commodity tartar (or Mongols? al-tatar). "As for the woman who came, I inform you. . . ." The term טרקיתהא appears, the meaning of which is unclear. The woman is elderly and sick. Nobody is traveling to al-Shām this year. Mentions "two months in the synagogue" then "without body" (probably an expression for her distress). Further details are hard to figure out. Verso: A few words in Arabic script.
