Letter fragment concerning delayed news and communications from a high-ranking addressee, probably a lower state official. The writer expresses concern for the addressee’s safety and mentions a written communication conveyed by Nāṣir, a ghulām formerly in the service of al-mawlā al-ajall al-shaykh al-Rashīd in the Delta (al-Ṣaʿīd). The writer states that he entrusted something to Nāṣir. The verso refers to an ʿalāma concerning the ghulām and his service. Needs further examination.
